The IT Department has the mission of keeping the different departments of the company completely up to date, with regards to the best alternatives available in the market.

Working as part of a network in production allows the transport and sharing of files, making it possible for several translators, inspectors and editors to work in integrated fashion on the same project, using translation memories and applications for their management. All stages of the process are monitored, with the use of one of the modules of our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), which allows monitoring project execution in real time, on a step by step basis, while also providing reports that enable performance assessment.

The daily backups of each project are filed together with the performance assessment report generated by Quality Control.

Translation Tools

Translation tools are essential for good performance in translation work, and are a real partner of the professional in this field. Unlike automatic translators, such as the process of machine translation, translation memories speed up the work of the translator but do not waive the need for the translator’s intellectual capacity.

Translation memories store texts during the translation process, thereby creating a database that is constantly updated, making it easier to standardize the style and technical nomenclature. These memories make the most of an existing translation and avoid work repetition, thereby bringing about substantial reductions in cost.
